How many do you get from them a week? I'm trying to decide how many of them I want to put in my order. I didn't get them last time, but now I really can't resist.

My hatchery ee didn't start laying till 38 wks, but once she got going did 5/wk till molting at 1 1/2yr then went right back to 5/wk. Keep in mind that they aren't going to all be the same because they are mutts.

My EEs are some of my most reliable layers AND my first layers! I have 3 EEs and they average 5 eggs per week each. Ya GOTTA get some!! Oh, and they started laying at 22 weeks old but the third girl didn't begin laying until 8 months! They were worth the wait though, her eggs are beautiful!

Ooh, if mine don't start until 38 weeks...that wouldn't be so good. When was she hatched (time of year)?

Do you remember when your EEs started, ADozenGirlz? (Never mind.

I have 3 EE's. They started laying at around 27 weeks. I get 2-3 eggs a day from them. 2 of them lay green eggs, one blue. I had a fourth that laid huge army drab green eggs.. but a stray dog got her:rant

Our EE's (Privett) started laying right along with the other pullets last year. From 4 girls I consistently get 3 eggs most days. However, they were complete freeloaders for about 6 weeks over the winter, not a green egg in sight. Our winters are not awful, northern Nevada in the foothills, nights in the teens -20's and daytimes in the 30's usually. I'm not sure I'm going to continue to include EE's for my egglaying flock in the future.

My 12 EE's hatched October 18th 2009. One started at 21 weeks, The majority are laying now at 22/23 weeks. 12 birds 4 eggs per day. two nice light blue, three OK blue, one nice light green and two nice pink brown color. (One huge double yolker..from a pullet...)

I suspect I will be getting about an egg every other day from these EE's. Anxious for the other 4 to start laying.

ON
Birds were from MPC. We are very happy with them so far.

I didnt get my EE's til they were already laying but I do believe they are slower to mature. Since December, I think I have had two or three days my EE's have not laid an egg. They are ALWAYS laying, and I get really nice light blue eggs from them. Love my EE's.
