How does everyone clean their eggs?

I wipe off with a damp wash cloth if there is any poop or anything on the eggs. Other than that, they go straight from the nesting box to the egg carton to the fridge.

I use a commercial egg wash (organic) and very warm water for "clean" looking eggs. If the egg has anything on it, I use antibacterial soap and very warm water. I rinse well, pat them dry with a paper towel or cloth and store them pointed end down in the refrigerator. You will find many people who feel that eggs shouldn't be washed because it will get rid of the "bloom". However, the egg has been in a nesting box - and no matter how clean it looks, the chickens that walk through all kinds of crud have scratched around in the nest box. So germs are on the eggs. And the eggs are used so quickly that the bloom issue is irrelevant.
