I was wondering about selling my eggs and I'm not sure where to start. First off i'm in NY. So does anyone know about egg selling regulations in NY, packedgeing needs, how to sell them, limit amounts of eggs, permits that are needed, egg grading and anything else one needs to know about selling eggs? Thanks!

Will you be selling as eating eggs or fertile eggs? I sell mine as both and I don't need any special license as long as they come from my farm. I cannot sell at the farmers market though or a store. We have sold MANY dozen eggs at my hubbys office...they are crazy for them there

As for sending fertile eggs all I do is bubble wrap them tuck them safe in a box and send them out. Nothing needed for that either...at least here in WI. Hope someone from NY can help you out on any laws there. Good luck!

I am selling mine for 3.00 a dozen and most think that is cheap since brown eggs in the store run 4.00 to 4.50 for "free range" eggs here.

I use craigslist to sell mine. I advertise farm fresh eggs $2.00 a dozen... and I put my phone number on there. I've sold a decent amount that way.. Good Luck!
