How does the shipping work with chicks?

I just received my chicks last Tuesday. Here is the box they came in. I had called my local post office of my zip code to let them know chicks were on the way. When they called the next day, I asked them if the box was making noise. He said, "Oh yes, can you hear them?" I told him that was a good sign because they are supposed to make noise In my mix of 5, one is a polish which I believe will be a White crested blue. Her name is Phyllis as in Phyllis Diller lol. The 2nd picture is her sleeping. She is so cute! Enjoy your babies!

Awesome then. So, what will the chicks be in? How big is the container? Is it like a cardboard box? I've only shipped two animals and my life: dogs and snakes (no, the chicks are not for the snakes).
