I was standing inside the run tossing bits of bread to the girls. Everyone was running here and there eagerly grabbing them up. Suddenly, my 27 week old Lavender Orpington Sunny stops rushing around and simply squats. The next thing I see she has dropped out a nice soft shell egg that rolls a little towards me. She looks around as if to see if anyone was watching her. Then she stands again and acts like she didn't do anything at all. So I quickly covered for her by grabbing up the egg and whisking it away. Poor Sunny, how embarrassing.
