How far have you driven just to get a chicken ?

We've driven 150 miles to the Eastern Shore to get SQ Buff Orphingtons and Australorps. We've also driven 150 miles to VA to pick up SQ Silkie chicks. Thinking about a road trip to LA next spring for some Serama. What's a few miles?

We drove 8hours there and another 8 hours back for a Brahma rooster and hen. Must admit the trip was planned as a visit to family.

When we got to the family we drove another 2 hours there and back to fetch the chickens.
