How far have you driven just to get a chicken ?

    I just wanted to see how far some people would drive to get that perfect bird they want so bad . I drove 1100 miles round trip just to pick up one bird ! but it was well worth it .

    Good grief that was a long trip. What kind of chicken? We drove 350 miles roundtrip to get our Silver Sebrights.

    Nearly 600 miles, 10 hours round trip. Got a speeding ticket on the way home [​IMG]

    Was worth the trip for me!

    wow...long drives! I think the farthest I've gone was about 160 miles roundtrip (1 1/2-2 hour drive)

    We take birds back and forth, to and from No. Michigan to So. Kentucky, several times per year. It is 11-12 hours each way. But, there's visiting and such as well.

    I just took a trip this weekend 9 hours one way to PA to darrel sheraws waterfowl farm and picked up the call ducks i had reserved for me. long drive but i got some stunning show calls. and many new colors!!! [​IMG]
