How far will they free range?

mine use to roam quite a bit. I have them in a horse pasture. as soon as i started to manage the pasture better they started to stay closer. knowing why they are going over there might help too (if there are berries over there or certain plants they like). you can always plant some on your property to keep them happy. Mine love to hang out under my apple tree and blueberrry bushes.

We just had to get a fence because ours were free ranging all over the neighborhood! They started out not going far but I was just too nervous that a stray dog would grab them and I wanted to be a good neighbor. It just seemed like every day they got more brave and went a little further.

Mine do indeed cross the road,but we live on a dead end street. They like to scratch in the dirt under the trees over there. Mine roam maybe 100 yards,usually they stay pretty close
