How hard is it to raise turkeys?

We wanted to try to raise a couple of white breasted turkey poults this year with our chicks but we are almost getting discouraged reading posts about raising turkeys and then raising turkeys and chickens together. What has been your experiences with this?

First let me say BYC has a Turkey section that can give you lots of info.
As for Turkeys with chickens, some do well others do not. It depends on if your area has blackhead in the soil.You would need to contact your local Ag and Markets extension and inquire about it.
As for behavior wise, i have all mine currently running together with no problems.
