How has your mother's day gone?

So far I have unloaded and loaded the dish washer, taken the trash out and heated up chinese leftovers for breakfast.

Yeah, well, I am giving just as much for father's day as I have received today. Nothing. Buncha weenie men.

Woke up at 6:30, took care of the 3 month old, checked the chickens, helped the husband with HIS fishtank, cooked breakfast for my son, and cleaned the house. Yay me.

but my 6 year old drew me a card!!!

eta: thats right a bunch of weenie men!! hes lucky I'm being passive aggressive... what I really want to do is punch him in the eye.

I made myself breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jelly, hashbrowns...) I don't have the moolah to drive back home, so I'm going to get a balloon and attach my mom's name to it and send it to her in Heaven.


You should go to Red Lobster and get some crab legs or something for yourself!

I did get cards from my kids and my husband when I got up at 9, so that was nice. My husband's back is bothering him so I guess I can't complain too much that he went back to bed when I got up. I wish I didn't have to clean up the mess he left in the kitchen while getting himself dessert last night though. Or go out and find that he didn't collect eggs yesterday (we have a rotating schedule for chores like that with us and the kids and yesterday was his day for collecting eggs), so one got broken since there were too many in the box and ruined all the others. At least the dogs will be happy about the dirty eggs.

Hubby's at work, teenager's asleep. Baby chicks are snuggling with me in the chair. It all evens out!
