How heat tolerant are chicks?

A friend just told me she bought some misters at Sam's Club for under $30.

Hmmm! The mister sounds like an awesome idea... especially since my day olds (that I am HOPING I get TOMORROW!!!! My first batch of chicks EVER - total newbie) will be out in their coop around August! The height of a NY summer. Only because it will take us 6-8 weeks to finish building the coop.

I am glad I had the brooder all set up a week before their arrival...
...I had the lamp on today - and we hit 114 degrees! Glad I learned that WITHOUT chicks in it.
