I need to put a perch in my coop too. We just built it last week and right now the rooster just uses the cage at night. He is si funny at about 7pm every evening he goes in his little cage and waits for us the close the doors. I put him in their because I'm afraid he might hurt the baby chicks, when ever he gets them cornered he starts pecking at them - poor babies.
