Those sticky fly strips are helpful, we keep them at the barn.. just watch when puttng them up so easy to get yourself stuck to them

Someone on here hung vanilla air fresheners inside their chicken coop to get rid of flies. It is suppose to work good but I havent tried it yet. Maybe it would work for your ducks?

I got so sick of flies I bought 2 tons of gravel for the duck run and I hose that off twice a day. The poo just disappears into those rocks and the flies AND gnats go away. I also have fly traps all over the place and we started using fly bots. Things have improved 200%. Now if only all the neighbors would pick up after their dogs and there wasn't a horse farm up the road.

How about diatomaceous (sp) earth?

If you want them out of your run, place Screen netting over the hardware cloth ( Pool screen netting, Screen door netting). It helped in my coop!
