I'm having a bummer of a time keeping the humidity stable in my incubator. They're duck eggs so it says 45-55%. It usually tends to fluctuate between 35 and 60%. Is that still OK? The eggs are 2 weeks old and seem to be developing fine.
Also, is that fine for chicken eggs too? I'm curious to know because I'd like to put in a few of my brown layer eggs as well.

Humidity, in my opinion is very important, although you need to think of it in the overall average for the incubation period. Total moisture loss during the cycle, as measured by weighing the eggs, or by minitoring the aircells is key.

I would think you are just fine with your duck eggs, and will most likely be fine with the chicken eggs, although I would target a slighlty lower average with the chicken eggs.

There are lot of opinions on this, and this is only one.
