How is your flock today?

I am on it! LOL Did you get your new 360 Yet? I am done trying this again with this old dinosaur machine. :barnie

I haven't ordered it yet. I'm waiting to see if this new rooster that I got on Sunday is even fertilizing the egg's or not, because I haven't seen him breeding the girl's. If he isn't fertilizing them, I will have to find another nice roo.

I got him from another person in AZ. that was trying to rehome her flock, because she's moving to Georgia. She said that he wasn't too old though. She had 4 rooster's, but I only took in one of them.
O ok, I was just curious, you have so much going on with your chooks it's just so hard for me to keep up with you! :gig

2nd Hatch Up-date. As of now and from the 15 eggs, we have 6 little healthy chicks bouncing around the incubator and two currently pipping trying to make their way into the new world. I guess we are half way there and it would be super awesome if all 15 make it!:love

I will be out of town most of the weekend working and will report back Monday morning with the official count. :ya:fl:D

Hello everyone, I just unplugged the incubator/ We have ten healthy little baby chicks! :ya :love. Other five eggs left done nothing for 3 days so it was time to unplug the machine. :(

All is good they are super active and get tired really fast and sleep and start all over. LOL

10 chick's out of 15 egg's isn't bad!

@BlueBaby When I candled all 26 eggs before lockdown and picked out the eggs that I couldn't see all the way through. I went through them pretty quickly so those 5 eggs may have been bad to start with and I didn't catch them.

When they started to hatch all 10 hatched pretty much all together and I didn't have any late ones, so that makes me kind of think those last 5 eggs could have been bad and I didn't know that and still locked them down.

I have a bit of a hard time holding those small eggs and trying to candle them without dropping them. I think the 360 has the light on it for candling, so that should help.

All in all this time around with that old machine went a lot smoother then the first time. I am very happy with the 10 little healthy babies. :love
