How is your flock today?

Thank you! @BlueBaby How you all doing today ?
I'm doing good here, thank you! I'm just sitting here drinking my coffee and trying to catch up on my email's, and post's from here at BYC. I will most likely have to turn the mister's back on for the flock today, and bring ice for the waterer's. It's already 96-F. out there. I took care of the chick's food and water last night before sleeping, but they are in the brooder in the house.

I have been seriously thinking about getting some of those Bielefelder chick's. I have heard that they have nice friendly personalities, and you can tell what sex that they are at day old's.

How are you and your flock doing?

Hi you all , I just found this thread . Hope all is well. 🌹 God bless ❤️🌹
Hello Mark, glad to have you join our little group. :hugs My apologizes for not seeing your post sooner, things have been crazy busy on this end with work and all the animals. :love

I hope everyone and their flocks are doing well, I have been busy with building new accommodations for baby goats this December. Betty looks like she may be with kid, hoping for healthy twins this go around. :)

The weather has finally started to change and we are having nice cool mornings over all that hot humid sticky stuff! :barnie

I think my integration went pretty well! I have a mean-to-the-chicks hen (lowest in the pecking order), and put her in a dog crate in the run for 4 days. She'll still chase the littles, but when they run off, she lets them go.

The 3 hens and rooster are a flock, the 3 pullets a separate group. Just like they said it would be. :thumbsup

Hopefully the pullets (14 weeks old now) start laying in the next 6-8 weeks. The hens are slowing down to molt. One has stopped for the year, I think.

All of that molting make's it look like they had a pillow fight out there!
