How is your flock today?

Now, you might have to build more pens to keep all your roos apart for pure-bred Red Dorkings! I sure hope those guys survive your summer and make some hatching eggs for me! The cross beak Red Dorking was crowing this morning, looks like next week I'll be tasting some rare bird meat! :drool He is not putting weight on with that beak, though.

How will you keep him quiet until then so that that neighbor doesn't turn you in again?

Good thing I got chicks in June. I keep reading the brooding/hatching stories on here, and I'd have a BAD case of chick fever if I didn't have some of my own.

Maybe next year I'll have a broody, and can join in the hatching fun. Hmmmm... my neighbor really wants a cockerel, and she has a big enough flock for two, possibly...
