I have a flock of 23. Currently have 1 rooster and 2 cockerels in the group and 20 hens. We will be butchering at least one male soon. And we will be taking on 7 more hens in mid-December right before Christmas.Hello and welcome to our little group. Glad to hear your flock is doing great and with no issues is always a good thing.

Exact same here, except 8 are pullets. The two cockerels are destined for soup which is a slight shame as I really like the markings on one of them. But I know the flock dynamics won't support 3 boys.
Yes. I forgot the pullets! A few of the 20 are pullets, but most are laying pullets.

That is the unfortunate part about buying unsexed and or incubating your own eggs, about half will be cockerels every time. LOL
They are some that I incubated. The hens are 100% Isa Browns and Chewy was a barn yard mix rooster, part Brahma and maybe RIR. So I don't really know for sure what they would officially be called? LOL
