How is your flock today?

Hello @BlueBaby No eggs yet this morning but she was up in the nesting box checking it out again. Soon :fl

No on the baby goats, I am guessing any day now. momma Betty looks like her milk is coming in and she is a little more moody and has been pawing at the straw in her little house. Soon also. Christmas Day babies would be very cool! :love

Then Scoot Scoot will be having his first B-day on March 13th.🥳🎂He is one big boy (MOOSE) LOL

How are your duck eggs doing?
Just very, very cool. Such excitement at your farm! Party! :jumpy:bun:woot:jumpy:jumpy:ya:jumpy:jumpy:bun:ya:jumpy

We are at our perfect best weather this time of year. I count my blessings. 72 low at night to 82 high today. I'll take it!
Had second pullet sneak in her POL. Missed the first pretty much. Barely small eggs, no real announcements 🤷‍♀️ possibly just scared of the old hags..? Was thinking the ladies where hiding a nest from me but have looked high and low, followed, spied, stalked, surprised, listened, looked high and low again, then again. Tired of crawling under the house and WISH we would just get after putting a skirt on it.

Probably. Sometimes the older hen's will keep trying to run the younger one's out of the coop away from the nesting boxes.

I have not seen much of any bullying surprisingly. Possibly my BR matriarch has things well in hand with just a side look :lauMastering the art of stink eye. But also not a lot of laying going on either.. .
Here's a weird thing. My 3yo Ameraucana is laying better now, with more colorful eggs and looking better than ever. So she is my new consistent layer w/ 4-5 a week @ 3yrs old

I have a few sneezes going on in the flock after that wet and windy weather we had. I put some vitamins in their waterers. Also picked up beautiful mulch and spread a beautiful layer down for them (and me).
There are half a handful of times a year when my open coop does not work. Think I am going to pick up a few more sticks of wood and tighten up any gaps to block the breeze and retain the heat better... may get down to 60s in another month. Unfortunately the mosquitoes will like that too 😕
