How likely is an Easter egger to lay brown eggs?

Most hatcheries can give you a percent chance of blue vs other colors...I'd ask them. And keep in mind that they know people get easter eggers for the colored eggs, so they try to breed for that. I'd say your chances are good. Honestly, you're more likely to get a cockerel by accident I'd wager. If you're super worried you could get an extra and then plan to sell one after they start laying.

That's actually a really great way to look at it (more likely to get get a rooster than a hen) and makes me feel much better! I probably should get a 4th just in case one does turn out to be a roo. Is it difficult to sell a single chicken?
