How long after first hatched clutch does the hen begin to lay eggs?

I'm a newbie here but I have been reading BYC for about one year. I have raised day old BO and have two hens that have recently become "mommas". How long will they stay with their young and how long before they start laying eggs again?

They free-range and are given grain feed and fresh veggies (over grown) from the garden.
