How Long After Ivermectin Can You Eat Eggs Again??

My question is, Why? Long before Covid-19, ivermectin was prescribed for humans. So it’s not a matter of the medication being toxic to humans in and of itself. Is there a concern about the concentration or something else? Just wondering. The SOP is to not eat the eggs during or for a time after the birds are treated, but I haven’t clearly heard why.
There are some concerns for pregnant women, as ivermectin is secreted in milk, but do we know what the threat is to the rest of us?

Any resolve on this issue? I just gave my hens a pea size amount each of the Iver paste. And was wondering the same as you. I believe Iver is safe, but don’t know the science behind the egg safety/ consuming part.

You'd be better off with a pour-on dewormer like Eprinex or Ivermec. They will take care of external as well as internal parasites.

Eprinex is very expensive, the there is no withholding time. Ivermec is much cheaper, but has a two week withholding.
Hi
I'm using ivermectim pour on to deal with mites, do I have to do an egg withdrawal as well?
