How long after mating.....

will a hen lay fertile eggs? I was blessed with 2 bantam lavender ameraucanas today and they had been housed with roosters. Should I let my broody silky have them? Thanks!

Eggs can be fertile as soon as 24 hours after mating and up to 3+ weeks after mating.
