how long after they start squating do they start laying

I got a big surprise yesterday...I went to pet one of my girls and she did this weird squat with her honey up in the air....IV also noticed that she's been getting louder with her errr errr erring..and heard her sound off the " gotta lay an egg song" bawk bawl BAGAUGK...NO EGG just a lot of noise..I put some dummy eggs in the nesting boxes and she just pecked at them...silly girl...today I noticed a few others were squatting....I am eggcited

Mine started about a week or two after they started squatting. I get eggs every other day hopefully when they get going it will pick up.

One of my cuckoos squatted for a full month before she finally started laying. The rest were within a week or two.
