We made scrambled eggs with our own eggs for the first time today... They were DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! And I can't believe how much sturdier these eggs are than store bought eggs. Wow - my girls rock!!!

Really? I always take'em straight to the refrig. What is the best way to keep laid eggs ...for eating?

I'm with you--maybe my city kid-ness is showing through, but two months and still good to eat??? I gotta be missing something...

According to Gail Damerow's book, "Barnyard in your backyard", "An egg stored at room tempature ages more in 1 day than an egg stored in the refrigerator ages in 1 week."

My girls started laying just over a week ago, while we were on vacation. My son put them in the fridge as soon as he found them. Unless I missed the answer to the question, just how long are eating eggs good for if they are kept in the fridge? I already had twenty eggs waiting for me (six birds, eight days worth of eggs). I want to give some to friends and family but want to have a fairly accurate idea before I give them. By the way, the eggs I ate so far were quite tasty, and the shells were hard as nails! Woo-Hooo!
