How long are red or black sex links going to lay?

In my experience, they don't slow down, but rather stop laying earlier and are slower to come back into lay. Mine have been great birds in the flock, but some where around 3, little less, or a little more, mine have had sudden death. Fine one day, dead the next. But in my opinion, not a bad way to go.

Personally I do not want birds that lay and live for years and years. I keep a flock, young birds come in, and old birds move on.
