How long before eggs?

A couple of days ago we saw our Australorp hen squatting for the rooster and again today. she has not laid any eggs yet, we're still waiting for the first time (not sure how old she is, We think around 18 weeks). Do you think she's getting close to laying? Thanks John!

She's probably close. My chickens start squatting and then within a week or two they give me an egg.

Same with me my BO started squating for everyone even me and she laid her eggs about 2wks later! Good luck its so exciting!!
