How long before my new chickens get use to surroundings and start laying eggs? It's been about a week now and I have one chicken laying irregularly. I got 4 eggs this week from her . I got another hen that laid at her old residence, but is not producing any as of yet. My other two are not quite ready to lay as they are still young.
