When will I be able to tell the sex on some blue, black, and lavender Orpingtons?

You can usually get a pretty good idea on the sex of most chickens by around 4 wks. Of course, the older they get the more obvious it becomes.

Just curious, but how did you get your hands on some Lavender Orpingtons???

I will be getting an order from Gordie this week and he said they would have 3 colors (black, blue, and lavender)

I'm sorry, but who's Gordie? I would LOVE to have some Lavenders, so that's why I'm asking!

Here is one of the many pages about Gordie and what he produces!

Just do a search for Gordie on here and you can read so much more. I don't know him presonally but after hearing so many great things about him I feel like I do.

I will know more about what colors I will have when I get them this week.

I can't decide how long I am going to keep them before I will be selling everyone but the 2 that I can only keep. I want a roo and a hen out of this bunch but you know how that goes!
