How long between YOUR chicken's first squat and first egg?

A WEEK?!? Here I was expecting another 2-4 week wait! Wow, if she follows the example ya'lls chickens have set, I'll have my full quota of eggs in no time!

Mine wouldn't stand still long enough for me to check until after I got eggs. But the 4 BR's all squat and all lay.

Mine took around 1-3 weeks

Mine didn't squat until after laying eggs. And not all of them do it lol.

None of mine squatted. Not before starting to lay, not after. They don't sing the egg song either. Right now, they are all on hiatus, at least one doing a partial molt.

I think one of mine took 8 days... but I feel like the others took longer

My Black Australorps took 2-3 weeks after squatting. However, I have another 3-5 who squat but yet to lay!

All of mine had a 10-14 day delay before laying onset except for 1 bird, who still isn't laying but showing other behaviors typical of a bird close to lay.
