How long between YOUR chicken's first squat and first egg?

I had a young (21 weeks) chicken give me her first "squat" today!!!

I know that means she'll be laying soon! ("soon" being relative and with meaning only to her, of course!)

So I'd love to hear how long it was between YOUR chicken's first squat and first egg.

OOH, it will be soon! My Delaware started squatting about a week before we got an egg. It was thrilling!

I have a Barred Rock and a Production Red that are the same age. The barred rock started squatting at about 17 weeks and the first egg was about a week later. The red has never done the squatting behavior, but laid her first egg the day before the Barred Rock laid her first egg.

Umm, my goofy chickens didn't start squatting until after we got our first egg.

Eight days, squatting every day. Then the eggs started coming! Finally!

Same, here- a week or so. By the time they were all squatting, I had an egg the next day.
