They are just RIR I didn't know it was even possible for them to lay so much. They didn't even start laying until they were at least 10 mo's old. If not maybe a little older?

That is fine if you don't believe me I don't care! Your just jealous!!!! lol

But thank you for sharing my joy! I'm so excited!

I read a record of a man in 1913 that his ONE hen laid OVER 300 eggs in one production season.

Not sure what a production season is exactly but you know. I think he was in Main.

Then there is a record of a man who's hen laid every day like clock work and one day produced 12 eggs in one sitting so rare it may be but NOT impossible!

I don't know how I got lucky but I sure am excited!

I know our neighbors have chickens but they are in a run because I have already thought of that and asked them. Ours free range from sun up to sun down. And they only have four hens and one Roo.

Well, good luck when you crack them. I have kept RIRs for years, no way they ever laid like that. Have a wonderful time.

An Australorp holds the World Record with laying 364 eggs in a year. There are 365 days in a year, so she took one day break. But, she only laid one egg a day. That's all they can lay. We are not jealous, we are only trying to educate you.

Not to nitpick, but there are 365.25 days in a year, so that Austrolorp took one day plus 6 hours off! Lazy hen!!

Thank you and I'am. YOu never know when it will stop! LOL but in the meantime...it is so much fun. I have noticed the yellow is bigger than the whites. I don't know if this may have a clue as to why but thank you!

007Dawn - it's impossible to be getting as many eggs as you state from your hens. If you truly ARE, they have a serious, serious health issue. Please do some research...
