How long can backyard chickens eggs stay in the fridge before eating?

Yeah I'd say a month, month and a half at most. Recently had an egg explode in the fridge, it was hidden in the back so it was probably pushing three months. You could put them in a row, oldest being first, freshest being last, then you'd remember which are best.

You could always date them with a pencil, but that's a lot of work if you're getting a lot of eggs.
