Hi all. I'm a chicken newbie and I'm hatching eggs under a broody hen for the first time. I didn't separate her in a cage because it doesn't fit comfortably in the coop and she didn't seem to like it, so I left her in her nestbox. Today is Day 13 and she ended up in the wrong nest box. I'm guessing her eggs were exposed for about 4 or 5 hours. Are they goners, or could they still hatch? Should I just pitch them and start her on new eggs (she's now in a crate)? If there's a chance with the old eggs I would like to keep her on them since they were purchased and are breeds I don't have. Thanks!
