Most countries do not refrigerate eggs. They keep them unwashed to keep them naturally protected. I am beginning to think we have it all wrong in the US. Using chemicals in and on our birds, trying to kill off the bad stuff.. Washing eggs in high tech machines
What happens? Massive outbreaks. You never here of anything on this scale happening in other countries that do not wash eggs, have small local producers selling eggs in small local markets.
