How long do duck egg veins take to dry up?

Hi! I’m a beginner at hatching eggs and I was winding how long do duck egg veins take to dry up and what will it look like when it’s ready to hatch? Will their still be the remains of the of veins left or will they all just disappear? Thanks!

you'll find that the veins will disapear, as they are absorbed by the duckling.
It varies from one to the other, but ducklings take longer than chicks! Very slow hatchers. They can take days. Once the veins are receding, the duckling will start to pip the shell and zip, they should have finished absorbing by the time they pop out. So if you ever have to assist, it should be very slow, bit by bit.
Assisted hatching article just so you can read up and get more of an idea, but keep in mind that timeframes are a little longer for ducklings.
