how long do you let goose eggs rest after they are shipped

I just picked up 6 goose eggs from the post office after a two 1/2 day travel from Texas to Maryland. How long should I let them rest before putting them in the incubator?

8+ hours usually works best. I got mine at 2:30 pm so mine are going in at 11pm

Thanks for the information. This is my first batch. I haven't hatched anything since I was about 10 years old. I'm hoping for the best.
