How long do you let your eggs rest when they have been shipped to you?

I was wondering how long you should let your eggs rest if they are being shipped. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? The eggs are already a few days old, so I am very curious about how long others let them rest.
Thanks
Michele

Yeah, that is about what I let mine sit too (generally about 12 hours). Then they are not turned the first day in the bator (in egg cartons) which also helps the aircells re-attach. I like to get them in there as soon as I think is safe.

Whatever is convienient for you, if you have the bator ready, and the eggs are not chilled, go ahead and put them in right away. if you are not ready for them, go ahead and wait for a day. It will not really make a difference in your hatch rate. An egg that is damaged will not repair itself, no matter how long you leave them set.

Actually, shipping is really hard on aircells. If allowed to sit for awhile the dislodged ones can (and do) re-attach themselves. Eggs really need to sit quietly and rest a bit before being placed in the bator.
