how long does a fresh egg last

    i heard from sum1 that backyard eggs dont last as long as commercial...i was wondering if that was true...

    I am new to. But my intuition tells me that since the eggs from the store are a lot older when you get them than the ones from your back yard, everything else being equal, the eggs that you get from your back yard would be fresh longer.

    Yes, eggs from the store are a lot older. If you get the eggs daily and keep them in the refrigerator, they could be good for two months.
