How long does hatching process take?

Update! 3 out of 4 duckies are still wobbling, the fourth ducky i never saw movement in the first place so i have no idea if its alive or how long it hasn't been, Still no internal pips but i'm being very patient

Last night before I went to bed I checked one more time 4 eggs had dipped and one internal pip!!!!!!!! I was thrilled. Well... this morning at 5 am I just couldn't sleep so I got up and checked on the eggs. I burst into tears when I saw that the temp was at 108! I don't know what happened. It took 6 full turns on the heater gauge to get the temp back down to 99. That was no accidental bump on the switch! I think the fates are against me on this one

But what on earth is so wrong with high humidity? Don't they need it moisten their shell and then you drop it when they start pipping? I lowered mine but seriously?
From my past experience, when I had the humidity set at 80 out of 10 eggs, ALL died, to much moisture and it killed them.

When I lowered it down to about 60 65 Boom, They hatched..

I don't know. I have been on here all afternoon reading about this same subject and more or less freaking myself out! Some say 75% is great. I just took for granted that you stick the eggs in and maintain the temp and add water every few days and after 28 days you get a box of fuzzy babies! Ignorance is bliss. I am so worried now :(

DON't BE WORRIED, I think you'll be OK as long as you get it down Youll be OK

You are going to have some lovely colored eggs!! Keep us updated on how your hatch goes. I read that ducks take longer than chicks to hatch. Not sure if it is true but I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Yes, for example, Chickens take 21 days A call duck take 26 days a Musky takes 35 days so yes they are different

I was counting down the days on the calendar one more time and perhaps I got my hatch date off. I put the eggs in on the 11th of April around 4pm. I put them into lockdown on Monday the 5th of May (oops! I think it was too early). So my eggs should be going into lockdown today?? Hatch day should be the 9th rather than the 8th. I am just wondering if it will effect the eggs because I haven't been turning them since Monday??
OOO ouch.. OK so you locked them down to early, Hum, I would go a head and just give it a shot, keep them locked down, you really can't do much now. Try to get the humidity down to about 70 though..

Time does NOT matter, they go by days not time

OH MAN, you are just having sooo many issues. LOL, Well Lets hope it wasn't that high for to long, if it's for a Few moments meaning MAYBE 30 minutes or less Your Gonna be OK.

Have you tried candling them? Give that a shot, make sure they are still moving. No since in keeping them in there if they are gone.

I have no way of knowing because when I went to sleep all was well. That was at 10 pm, at 5 the temp was at 108 :( I candled and saw that four eggs had dipped and one had internally pipped but I couldn't see any movement.
