How long does hatching process take?

LOL, funny part is you haven't hit the stressful stage yet. OMG, imagine have a call duck start zipping away get half way done and BOOM, dies. NOW that's stressful, leaves you looking at the bator saying "WHAT?, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT? OH H*LL NO, THIS IS A JOKE. NO WAY, CAN'T BE!! COME ON? WHAT???"

lol
Argh! I wish I could just stay hovered over the bator and watch the whole day away!! Life is so fragile isn't it.

But what on earth is so wrong with high humidity? Don't they need it moisten their shell and then you drop it when they start pipping? I lowered mine but seriously?

Also another thing i started out using an absolutely terrible homemade incubator until about day 14 so they had a awful beginning with cool temperatures, they're lucky they survived at all, so yes, lateness is not a surprise

I don't know. I have been on here all afternoon reading about this same subject and more or less freaking myself out! Some say 75% is great. I just took for granted that you stick the eggs in and maintain the temp and add water every few days and after 28 days you get a box of fuzzy babies! Ignorance is bliss. I am so worried now :(

I know that feel, i got so stressed i started losing sleep and went into kind of a depression, but i think as long as my eggs are all wiggling there's no reason to worry so i calmed down and am just gonna see how it plays out

You are going to have some lovely colored eggs!! Keep us updated on how your hatch goes. I read that ducks take longer than chicks to hatch. Not sure if it is true but I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks! I'll post photos if/when they come out :3

I was counting down the days on the calendar one more time and perhaps I got my hatch date off. I put the eggs in on the 11th of April around 4pm. I put them into lockdown on Monday the 5th of May (oops! I think it was too early). So my eggs should be going into lockdown today?? Hatch day should be the 9th rather than the 8th. I am just wondering if it will effect the eggs because I haven't been turning them since Monday??
