how long does it take for a chicken to lay an egg after transportation

hi,
i am ew to this raising chickens myself,but i have 3 easter eggers that are 14 weeks old that i have had for the last month.I just got 2 black astrolorps that are 1 year old and i have had them for 8 days and no eggs yet...ive seen one of them lay in the nest for a little while a couple of times but no eggs... Dont know what to do??

They might be stressed out from moving give them time, some times it takes weeks.

The year old hen has been talking all morning and showing interest in the nesting boxes.. Might get a egg from her soon! Has your hen laid yet?

mine has not laid an egg yet,though sometimew it goes in the nest for awhile but no eggs. Good luck with your hen.

I bought 6 1yr olds and got 5 eggs/day for about 2 weeks starting the very next day.... and now I've had one/day for the last 3 days. The stressed-out hen hasn't laid yet (she spent the first three nights in a tree), but I'm scratching my head about the 4 hens who've decided to quit laying. They free-range in the yard most of the day, but I've looked everywhere and don't see any nesting sites. It's been hot hot hot the last few days, so I'm wondering if that is more of a cause than the moving. I am going to check on the molting threads, but I thought that was a later in the summer thing.

It's a temperature thing, not a time of year thing, its crazy hot.

does it matter what breed i got two leghorns about a week ago and they havent layed yet
