How long does it take for duck eggs to start to develop??

I have 2 three year old Call ducks one male and the other female, and 1 five month old male Mallard duck.
The coop I have for them has two compartments, 1 with a house with a nesting box and the other has a run.
It's just about spring in Australia, and my 2 calls have started to mate.
The female call has just started laying again (she's laid 5 eggs so far.)
I'm new to hatching ducklings so when I saw she had started laying, I put her in the nesting box, shut the door and put the males in the run. In the morning I let the 2 males out, and opened the nesting box door so she could come out for some more air.
But as soon as I opened the door she's been quacking and trying to get out of the run with the others.
So I did some research and realized that she might lay up to 10 more eggs before she will sit on them, and now I'm worried to let her out, because she's been sitting on them for probably around 16 hours...have they started developing...help?

How old are your ducks? She's not likely to go broody if she's just started laying. wait until she's a bit older. It usually take a day or so fordevelopment.

I brought her earlier this year, she is about 3 years old.

Ok, it's still earlier in the season for her to go broody. It's a hormone thing, it doesn't matter how many eggs there are. :]
