how long does it take for my chickens to get over the cold

I didn’t find an article of ‘cold’ - like problems with chickens in the BYC -sickness articles.

But on the page link you find lots of info if you like to reed more. it might be from a commercial organisation. (?) So be cautious in believing what they say is the best to do.

What are their symptoms?

I would clear away the eye discharge with a warm wet rag or paper towel. The one whose eyes look crusted over, you'll have to leave the towel there for a little bit of a soak to loosen it up and then remove it gently.

I have cleaned every one up with different wipes on each one ..and put the vetrx again i have clean water with prebiotic in the water

Are they eating and drinking normally? Their combs are a good color.

Be aware that chickens get chronic respiratory dieases that are never cured. They are contagious. Symptoms may decrease or go away within a few weeks, but they are carriers and symptoms can flare up again during times of stress. There are a handful of common respiratory diseases, such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG,) coryza, ILT, and a few others. Do you notice a bad odor from the face? With the eye bubbles and facial swelling, it could be MG or coryza. E.coli or other fecal bacteria may also complicate these infections causing air sac disease. Close your flock to any new birds, and don’t give away or sell birds or hatching eggs to control the spread. Culling a sick bird, and sending the body in to your state vet for a necropsy would be a good way to know what you are dealing with.

Wow. That doesn’t look great at all.

Anyway. That is not the same as the ‘cold’ my chicks had. They where only sneezing. In a Dutch forum some people told me they needed antibiotics to cure. Others said you get weak chickens if I gave AB. I didn’t give AB and they all cured.
@Eggcessive @rosemarythyme @R2elk anyone of you have any idea. Or who to tag?

Sorry no experience with this, some Vetericyn ophthalmic gel might help provide relief around the eyes but certainly won't cure anything.

there drinking and eating but they are not wslking around and enjoying freedom like they usually do they come out and nest all over yhe place
