How long does Mareks stay in a flock?

I just had what I believe to be Mareks disease run through my flock. I lost about 80% of my flock (including the rooster)

and haven't lost any in about a week and a half (Thanking God!). How long does Mareks stay in the flock? I cleaned the coop about 3 weeks ago (still lost 2 chickens). But haven't lost any in about a week and half (Again thanking God) so is it safe to get another rooster and possibly more chickens and put them with my remaining flock? My reaming flock seems fine. Thanks.
