How long does the molt last?

    My hens appear to be done with the molt but they have not started to lay again

    A couple weeks from what I understand. Also the time of year AND a molt will make it seem even longer.

    It can last anywhere from a few weeks so a month or more. It's very stressfull and physically demanding to grow all those new feathers. Give them time, they'll lay when they're ready. Remember they have absolutely no control over when they lay eggs, it's all hormones and enviroment. [​IMG]
