Ignorance is why I rescued 100 geese from a bad situation and am fostering 55+ until they can be shipped to their new homes in the fall.
I do not believe it is the handling/interaction that causes the problems, so long as there is always respect. IMO, interaction is good and preparing an animal (and developing special skills yourself) for doing basic things like catching for worming/exam, transporting in a kennel, confinement in a small pen for medical treatment, etc. It makes life easier when those occasions arise. However, every moment spent with a gregarious animal is an opportunity to gain or lose respect and/or trust, which should NEVER be treated lightly.

They are well worth any extra work!! Much easier (IMO) then ducks to clean up after. Ducks make a bigger mess with food/water.
They are 13 weeks old, and very sweet!!
