How long do you keep pheasant chicks in a brooder? I had 5, the runt died after being trampled and picked on by the others, as they grew and learned to "fly", one flew out of the brooder, and ended up in the sump hole, and drowned, now the other 3 are going crazy in the brooder. The weather here in michigan has been crazy, you get sunburned one day, and frost bit the next. The chicks are in the basement, and I'm thinking of taking them to the barn, but with this weather i'm not sure. I'd like to build something for them to stay outside. Thanks. BTW they are 4wks old today.

Maybe you should post in the raising chicks section?
