How long should broody be in cage?

How long do I keep my broody in the cage in order to break her? She's been there for 2 days so far.

It varies by the individual hen. Three days usually works but not always. They will eventually stop that clucking and the fluffed up look, but that is not a total guarantee she is broke.

When I tried 2 days, it did not work. Three days usually works, some require 4 days.
