How long should you let shipped eggs rest before incubating

This is my second time trying to hatch eggs that have been mailed. I received 38 eggs. 3 were broke. I hope to get something this time.

i had shipped eggs and aircells where detached

only one left in bator locdown is tmoz

i didnt see this before till yesterday but the poly box the eggs came in had a large dent in the corner


the stupid postman dropped it i bet even when it was littered with fragile tape

grrr

but hey if one hatches i will be happy

You're right. I will be happy if one hatches. I know that mine own will hatch but the shipped ones will be in question for a few days. I will candle them later to see whats going on.

i noticed shipped eggs take longer to show up on candle

usually people can see on day 4 mine did not show a spider web till day 7 and day 10 was confirmed what was living and what was not

I think I may have gotten everything wrong. It's my first time with shipped eggs and it just put them in the incubator after I had washed and brought it up to temp. NOW I read this thread!!! Well I have turned the turner off for a while and will put it back on tonight. Hope my eggs do ok despite being a newbie......?

My egg turner is so incremental that when I tried it I was convinced it didn't work at first. I hope it all works out as these eggs are a long time wish to have faverolles. A bit down on myself for jeopardising their success!!!

So far I have one detached air cell. Can't believe it! I thought they would all be ruined. So in 2 days I'll candle, but I think I have some action happening even now....... Time will tell.

I have 19 eggs in my incubator that were shipped. Hoping for a good hatch too. I haven't had to toss any yet.
